hey kids

how's it hangin'

here are some funny things that happend recently:

*i follow a garbage truck that was overflowing with shredded paper of all colors that i followed for some distance

*an old man on a shiney red scooter was riding around in cirles at the intersection of exchange and spicer in akron, ohio

*i recieved these emails:

Sender: [email protected] Subject: Tbone2727, your Kiev Chicken is ready :)

Sender: Horse Love Subject: This is unreal

Sender: DisneyStore.com Subject: Semi-Annual ALL PLUSH TOYS SALE!

Sender: eDiets Extra! Subject: 10 Hangover Cures

that last one was very intersting because it really had 20 things listed which are as follows:

1. The most common sense answer to preventing a hangover is to drink moderately. Also, alternate alcohol with non-alcoholic beverages. This will help you stay hydrated.

2. Eat. Put something in your stomach to absorb the alcohol.

3. Avoid mixing drinks.

4. Taking evening primrose oil the night before.

5. Taking vitamins B and C the night before.

6. Eat honey.

7. Beware of aspirin. It may be helpful for the headache, but it may further irritate your stomach.

8. Avoid Tylenol. When mixed with alcohol, Tylenol can cause some potentially serious liver problems.

9. Drink plenty of fluids. Gatorade is a wise choice, since it can help in replacing electrolytes that are depleted when drinking.

10. Know when to say when. That last drink could be the one to push you over the edge. If you still feel like drinking, opt for a club soda or another non-alcoholic beverage.

Maybe the preventative measures you took weren?t exactly fail-proof. There is still hope. Here are some of the most common ways used to cure the hangover blues.

1. DO NOT rely on the hair of the dog. Dr. Joe points out that drinking more alcohol to nurse a hangover is a bad idea. While it may ease symptoms due to the rebound effect that brings the nervous system back down, the problems associated with it far outweigh the benefits. Drinking in the morning is a warning sign that you are developing a serious problem with alcohol.

2. Time is the only surefire cure.

3. Hydration. Water, seltzer and sports drinks will help replenish bodily fluids.

4. Try caffeine the morning after. This may help with the headache. On the downside, it can irritate the stomach.

5. Take a shower. This will get rid of that grungy feeling that lingers after a night of drinking.

6. Eat something light. Fruit, toast and cereal are a good idea. There are also people, who swear by tomato-based products, like spaghetti and tomato sauce or V8.

7. Take B complex vitamins.

8. Try Alka-Seltzer, Hangover Helper or Professor Seltzer.

9. Cut down light and noise to ease light sensitivity and head pain.

10. Sleep it off. If someone has a hangover, there?s a good chance they didn?t sleep well the night before. Sleep is also a good way to pass the time while your hangover wears off.

there is also this great warning:

EDITOR'S NOTE: Neither eDiets nor Dr. Joe endorse or recommend any of the following remedies.

amazing, why publish it then? some people are so silly!

my favorite basketball player from when i was little is being honored:

The New York Knicks will retire the number of their former center during halftime of their Feb. 28 game against the Orlando Magic. Ewing, an assistant coach with the Washington Wizards, spent 17 years in the NBA, the first 15 with the Knicks. He averaged 21 points, 9.8 rebounds and 2.45 blocks in 1,183 games and was selected as one of the NBA's 50 greatest players.

GO Knicks! Yeah!

my mets shoes will come soon.

as i understand it people do not like the Tom Wright stuff so i will only post one or two of the really funny messages every now and then.

peace out
