what's up kids? how's it going?
i have decided that the only thing that is cooler than someone rolling around a rolling backpack is someone who is rolling around a rolling briefcase. it is especially cool when it is an adult trying to accomplish this on a bumpy brick sidewalk.
things i noticed today include:
*i did not mind being pummulted by hail while walking to geography.
*it is very difficult to swiftly walk down a relatively steep hill and be graceful. i feel like i would use the term "bounding" to describe what i look like when i attempt to engage in that activity
some nifty quotes:
"this brief summary in no way conveys the dramatic intesnity of the work, nor its zest, vivacity, poignancy and real sense of tragedy" Eileen Southern
He's swaddled in a heavy black wool overcoat and his shoes are silver-buckled with cap toes, the black leather well taken care of. He's a bit of a lounge lizard, a hip-hop fop. --Po Bronson, The Nudist on the Late Shift
I was an inveterate museum-goer from the age of fourteen, when I'd take the trolley to the Boston Museum of Fine Arts after school and wander the halls of Greek antiquities. --Jane Alexander, Command Performance
i have also decided it would be amazingly cool if i could make suspenders out of electrical extention chords. where you would snap or button them to your pants with regular suspenders, you would plug them into each other like you would plug it into the wall. this would constitue having pants with the female side of electical sockets in your pants but i think i could make them with not too much trouble.
