smellyness, tearing families apart

this was in the New York Times World Briefing today:

IRAN: SMELLY BREAKDOWN OF A MARRIAGE A 36-year-old woman has requested a divorce on the ground that her husband has not washed for more than a year. "My husband says he does not like water and does not want to take a shower," the state-run newspaper quoted the woman as saying in court. She said when they married eight years ago, her husband took three showers a day. But now, she said, "nobody - including me, my children and his colleagues - can stand him." To divorce a man in Iran a woman normally has to prove that he has neglected her financially or sexually, or is a drug addict or physically abusive. (Reuters)
