For you math nerds, that is 343 hours, 29 minutes and 6 seconds or to make it easier for our brains that is 14 days 7 hours 29 minutes and 6 seconds worth of listening. And that is not including the ones I listened to more than once which would increase the time to 15 days, 5 hours, 1 minute and 28 seconds. Basically, this was the best decision I made the summer before I left the USA, to get all of these audio books on my ipod. They have been so awesome, especially when I ran out of books, did not have tv, netflix, or the internets.
Things I made while listening to audio books:
- A giant calendar with a date range from 12 December 2008 to 4 December 2010 on a piece of flip chart paper, using a long piece of molding I found in a closet since I could not find a yard stick
- A set of double twelve dominos � that is 91 dominoes for you math nerds
- 6 tiny cardboard trains so we can play Mexican Train Dominoes
- 6 Domino tile holders � since cardboard does not balance on it�s edge
- One box for the dominoes
- One box for the tile holders and trains
- Breakfasts
- Lunches
- Dinners
Basically, after listening to all of these, it helped increase my already immense respect for Jim Dale. His performances of the Harry Potter audio books are superb and to be acknowledged. He has created over 200 character voices for the books. �The total length of the audio versions, including Book 7, is 117 hours and four minutes. It would take five days to listen straight through the entire series, according to officials of Listening Library, the Random House division that publishes the audio books.� If you don�t believe me about how hard it was please read this article.
