right. so then there was this one:

8:23 pm - somebody thought it was really funny to smash candy corn all over the elevator. 2nd floor band kid-"do you like candy corn?" me-"not really" kid-"yeah i mean it doesn't even taste like corn. it just kind of tastes like something...sweet... maybe... i dont know-" then he got off the elevator.

so i feel that the dictionary helps me clarify that it's name is derived from it's shape and look, not taste.
